My right to vote....and stand in line for two hours

Eric and I voted last night. And yes we stood in line for TWO HOURS!!! ......
Only to come home and find that Mr. Obama had already been announced the winner.
But it really did feel good to voice my opinion.

Absentee ballots are a beautiful thing. We got our ballots early, so we could study the issues (via the internet) and vote without the lines. Then we found out that we would have gone across the street to vote (we just moved), so I wonder if it was that much of a time saver...but being able to research the issues the way we did was great. I don't think I'll ever actually go to the polls again.

Am I becoming a "lazy American"? ;)

Yeah, I was kind of upset that it was over that quickly. I mailed our votes yesterday and it just makes me mad that our votes didn't even matter.

That is very frustrating. I didn't even think of that when they announced the winner last night.

We did the mailin ballots too, and kept them too late for mailing, but I just had to walk in to the voting place and drop them in a bucket, no line! And I absolutely love your header picture! Your kids are so cute!
